
Screening of Coal Miners
This project addresses the high vulnerability of coal miners to respiratory diseases, including tuberculosis (TB). By using ultraportable Digital X-rays equipped with AI, Dopasi Foundation brings healthcare services directly to these marginalized populations working in challenging environments. The initiative ensures early detection and treatment, preventing disease spread and promoting workplace health.
Activities Conducted Under the Approach:
Community gathering sessions to educate coal miners on TB risks.
Verbal screenings and chest X-ray camps using ultra-portable X-ray technology equipped with AI.
Establishment of treatment linkage for diagnosed individuals and ensuring follow-up care.
Achievements to Date:
Screened over 150,000 coal miners and community members.
Enrolled around 400 People affected by TB at Treatment Centers
