District Lasbela: Under the leadership of Expanded Programme on Immunization (EPI), Department of Health, Government of Balochistan, with the support of Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance, Dopasi Foundation organized an Immunization Mela in District Lasbela, to raise awareness and promote advocacy around the importance of routine immunization for children and families.

Pakistan joins the world in marking the inaugural World Cervical Cancer Elimination Day, a global health milestone designated by the Seventy-eighth World Health Assembly. The day builds on the historic pledge of 17 November 2020, when 194 nations committed to the WHO’s Global Strategy to Accelerate the Elimination of Cervical Cancer.

Islamabad, September 2 – The DOPASI Foundation hosted a media roundtable in Islamabad to engage senior journalists from print and electronic media in advancing HPV vaccine awareness ahead of Pakistan’s first-ever national HPV vaccination campaign. The session brought together key voices from the public and private sectors of health to highlight how media can play a decisive role in countering myths and shaping public understanding of the vaccination drive.

Doctors, private hospitals, and civil society organizations to play key role in the success of national campaign.
Islamabad – Pakistan is set to launch its first-ever national HPV vaccination campaign from September 15 to 27, 2025, in a major public health milestone aimed at preventing cervical cancer. The campaign targets 13 million girls aged 9 to 14 across Punjab, Sindh, Islamabad, and Azad Jammu & Kashmir, using a single-dose vaccine that offers protection against the disease.
