
Domiciliary Care for DR-TB
The domiciliary care project redefines care for Drug Resistant TB by bringing healthcare to the doorsteps of People affected by Drug-Resistant TB (DR-TB). This innovative, person-centered approach minimizes loss to follow up rates, reduces stigma, and improves overall outcomes.
Activities Conducted Under the Approach:
Developed and deployed the eDRTB app for digital treatment tracking.
Provided home-based care, including medicine delivery, virtual monitoring and social support.
Conducted community awareness campaigns to support disease affected people and families.
Achievements to Date:
Reduced pre-registration loss to follow-up from 15% to 0%.
Achieved 100% treatment adherence rates.
Treatment Success Rate improved from 61% to 80%
