Multi-drug Resistant Tuberculosis (MDR-TB) Treatment Optimization
The Multi-drug Resistant Tuberculosis treatment optimization program was undertaken to minimize the loss of MDR-TB persons to follow-up. DOPASI Foundation employed a fully digital, innovative, and people-centric approach in 7 districts of Punjab which have low MDR-TB performance indicators.
The aim of the program is to optimize treatment adherence to a point where no person is lost to follow-up during the treatment thereby improving treatment outcomes and reducing death rates. So far, the program has been able to help 200 MDR-TB persons and their families with digital technologies and advanced tools.
